Mexico, 1925. Frida's great desire is to be a doctor, but a terrible accident prevents her from living her dream. Chance unites her with Diego, one of the great figures in the world of painting. Frida and Diego fall in love instantly and he convinces her to become an artist.

Frida follows her own ideas, intuitions and dreams, and manages to succeed with a unique style, with a strength never seen before. But the pain of failed love is unbearable and she, who has overcome the limitations of her own body, reels before Diego's infidelities. Until the day comes when he has to make the most important decision of his life. And by doing so, she begins to forge her legend and raise her voice on behalf of the women who remain in the shadow of any man.
